But what exactly is embossing and debossing? Embossing is the process of creating raised and textured designs in materials like paper and cardstock. Debossing, on the other hand, pushes the material downwards to create a 'sunken' effect. Our 3D Embossing Folders masterfully combine both techniques to deliver a captivating 3D result.

Using these folders is a breeze. Simply grab your Big Shot Machine (660200) and Standard Cutting Pads (655093) to get started. For best results with cardstock, lightly spray the material with water before placing it inside the folder. This will help to create an even deeper impression. Sandwich the folder between your cutting pads, then roll it through the die cutting machine. In just one pass, your 3D design will be revealed!

Please note that an Adapter Platform (658992) will be required when using embossing folders with any of our Sizzix Big Shot machines. Just place this under the sandwich you've created, and you're ready to go. If you've already purchased one of our Big Shot machines, your adapter is already included.
